Today was a pretty tuff day.  It all started at 7.45am … I arrived to the plant and then I logged in into my computer, I checked my inbox and discovered lots of new emails with matters that needed to be resolved.

I attended 3 conference calls:

The first one at 10am with people from Tijuana, Los Angeles and Tucson.  Actually, we had this meeting every Wednesday and its purpose is to provide support to both plants in MX in order to succeed in their GO LIVE dates (go live date is the day when the system is going to start operations in real production activities).  It took like 25 minutes and we did not discuss that much.

The second conference was at 12pm and once again people from Tijuana and LA were there.  The purpose of this meeting is completely different: people from Corporate IT provide technical support to both plants … I discussed several issues with Yasir (the guy who is helping me out) and we talked like for 80 minutes, I needed to drop the call off because it was already 1.25pm and I needed to eat.

The last meeting was at 7pm and this conference is to get an idea of the general status of the project.  People from China, Philippines, USA, Mexico and other countries are involved.  Lot of points are treated here so I will not mention them right now.

Besides the meetings, the tasks that I need to do and present to the people in Corporate are not complete; mainly because of problems with the system but also because of my lack of experience with some applications.  I will have to end those tomorrow or I my get myself in a rude situation.
